Pine Island F.I.S.H. continues to help islanders in need
Pine Island F.I.S.H. (Fellow Islanders Send Help) had another great year in serving the people of Pine Island and Matlacha. Even with the COVID challenges, this group accomplished the following during 2021
– Answered over 700 client calls and provided needed services.
– Provided over $25,000 in emergency assistance to over 50 clients.
– Provide over 400 pieces of mobility equipment to loan to clients in need.
– Transported over 120 clients to needed medical, dental, financial and related appointments.
– Basket Brigade provided new school clothing and shoes to over 150 youth.
– Basket Brigade gave new Christmas toys and food for over 270 youth and 120 families
– Partnership with PILOT (Pine Island Leaders of Tomorrow) key supporter.
– Partnership with Matlacha Hookers, Beacon of Hope, Pine Island Fire Department, local businesses and churches to ensure support of all Pine Island residents in need.
