New GED class to start at Beacon of Hope
The Beacon of Hope will soon be starting a new GED class. Come in and sign up! As soon as there are at least three students, the class will start.
You may sign up by calling the Beacon of Hope at 283-5123 or Mary Lou at 565-7012. You may also come in on Tuesday or Thursday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the classroom at the Beacon, sign up and also see a working GED class.
The only cost for the class is 10 hours of community service each month. This is easy and helps someone that needs help. Participants can help a neighbor or mow a lawn for someone that needs it. It could also include helping a church or any other organization on the island.
