Mardi Gras Fundraiser at the Elks Saturday

The Past Exalted Rulers of the Greater Pine Island Elks Lodge will host a Mardi Gras Fundraiser this Saturday, March 5. Held at the Elks Lodge, at 5630 Pine Island Rd, Bokeelia, the evening starts at 5 with a cash bar.
As guests wander the silent auction room, bidding on items donated by members and regional businesses, they can enjoy reminiscing with old friends and make some new ones.
At 6 p.m., a gourmet dinner featuring authentic traditional Cajun cuisine and a decadent dessert will be served.
Sheldon Upchurch will keep the music flowing from 6:30 until the last dance at 9:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the Mardi Gras Fundraiser benefit the Florida Elks Harry Anna Trust.

Florida Youth Camp: A project of the Florida State Elks Association, this beautiful and modern 405-acre complex provides a unique camping experience for 7 weeks during the summer to all Florida children ages 9 through 13. Camp sessions last from Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning and provide campers with housing, food and tons of fun. During their stay, campers can participate in a range of activities including: archery, swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, capture the flag, soccer and climbing at the challenge ropes course!
Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services: A project for the Florida State Elks Association that provides physical and occupational therapy to Florida children who do not have easy access to such services. These services are provided in the patient’s home without regard to the ability to pay. The program strives to provide the highest quality services possible to this special population. Priority is given to children who do not have ready access to therapy as a result of financial considerations.
