Calusa Land Trust work/fun party set for Saturday at Fritts Park

1 min read

The Calusa Land Trust’s monthly work/fun party will be held this Saturday, Jan. 8, at Fritts Park (located on Beach Daisy Lane just south of the trailer park in Bokeelia) beginning at 9 a.m.

This maintained park, like all its preserves, is open to the public.

The mission this month will be grounds clean-up for seasonal use and in preparation of the 46th Annual Meeting to take place on Sunday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m., and the Alison Ackerman Rummage Sale Saturday, Jan. 29, at 8 a.m. Note: Alison is seeking donated quality items for delivery to the park the afternoon before the sale.

The Calusa Land Trust is an all volunteer land conservancy and relies upon motivated Pine Islanders to assist in the stewardship of its 2,400+ acres of preserved lands. Happy participants should include work gloves/clothing, pruning tools and for their efforts will be rewarded with beverages, a pizza lunch and shared warm fellowship.
