Villa’s Insurance moves and becomes Great Florida Insurance franchise
Jim Smith, owner of Villa’s Insurance Group, said his business has found a permanent home on Pine Island. Although he’s not going anywhere, he said he is moving his business across the street to Pine Island Road as Villa’s Insurance Group is franchising into Great Florida Insurance.
“This is going to give us even more carriers and a more competitive edge,” Smith said, adding that the transition also made sense financially.
Great Florida, he said, is one of the fastest growing franchises, having between 130 and 140 locations. This is an opportunity that will give Smith access to continuously add more carriers.
Smith will still be the owner of the Pine Island branch in Bokeelia and said nothing will change as far as his great staff and excellent service.
Although Smith knows he’s not the only insurance business on the island, he happily affirms that there’s room for everyone to work, confessing that a little bit of competition in the market is healthy, keeping everyone on their toes.
“In reality, the competition actually works out better for the people of Pine Island. We’re very, very excited about the move. I want to say first and foremost that Villa’s Insurance Group, which I built out of nothing with my own two hands, transitioning into Great Florida Insurance Pine Island branch is an amazing thing,” he said. “So far, it’s been an on-fire amazing success and for that I want to thank each and every person on Pine Island that has supported the agency — that’s come in and done business with us.
“I’m very grateful to the people of Pine Island and I will continue serving our community. I have found a home here and I’m not going anywhere,” Smith said.
