GPICA announces schedule for upcoming meetings

The Greater Pine Island Civic Association had scheduled the following meetings:

• 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, on Zoom. The director of Lee County Utilities, Pamela Keyes, will discuss the county-wide wastewater management plan and septic to sewer conversion.

• 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4, in person. There will be a public information session with the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast on its plans for land across the street from Flamingo Bay. Location TBD.

• 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, in person. The annual GPICA members’ meeting and election of GPICA Board. Location TBD.

The Greater Pine Island Civic Association was incorporated in 1957 and is a 501(c)4 nonprofit community organization that works to protect the coastal-rural character of Pine Island and its enclaves — Matlacha, Matlacha Isles, St. James City, Pine Island Center, Bokeelia and Pineland — for the betterment of the community and its residents.  

Members and non-members are always welcome to attend the monthly meetings.
