Owner says Able Towing is here to help

Twenty-four-year old Wylie Mancuso has been the owner of Able Towing of Bokeelia since February.
He wants people to know he’s here to help.
Mancuso said since he’s taken over he has a real desire to expand the business, perhaps with an impound lot right here on the island, in case a car has to be moved in the event of an accident.
Whenever people have issues with their car, he said, it becomes a stressful time, making clear instructions and help for his customers a top priority for him.
“I want to make it as easy and as simple as possible. I love helping people,” Mancuso said.
Creative problem solving is something Mancuso said comes with having this type of business, and his ability to think outside the box has helped him on many occasions where there seemed to be only one way to do something.
“I’ve had to go swimming for a truck driving in 2 feet of water, but even something as simple as picking up a car broken down on the side of the road will teach you something. There’s always something to learn,” Mancuso said.
Being ethical and professional is only part of this job, he said, adding that it isn’t ever artificial, because he finds being friendly and helping people non-negotiable.
Mancuso is not limited to automobiles. He said he is able to be helpful in a multitude of situations, such as when someone needs to move an old shed or trailer.
“A lot of people on the island still don’t know that I’m here, and I’m here to help. As my business grows, so does my capacity to help people,” Mancuso said.
