Learn the facts about Medicare 2022

The Medicare Annual Election Period starts on Oct. 15 and ends on Dec 7. To help people who are interested in learning about Medicare coverage, Medicare Educational Seminars will be presented by Mary Cranden of MJD Enterprise Solutions, Bokeelia.

These seminars will be held at the following locations:

Beacon of Hope: Friday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. (Conference Room) at 5090 Doug Taylor Circle, St. James City.

Pine Island Community Church at 5320 Doug Taylor Circle, St. James City, on the following dates:

● Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m.

● Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m.

● Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m.

Pine Island United Methodist Church at 5701 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia on the following dates:

● Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m.

● Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.

● Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m.

The seminars are free and open to the public. No RSVP is required.

These are for people aging into Medicare (age 65) who want information about Original Medicare and what Medicare covers, along with information on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements and Medicare Drug Plans (Part D). For those already on Medicare, please join us to learn about changes occurring in 2022 or just to get an update on Medicare costs and benefits.

Annual Open Enrollment period ends on Dec. 7.

Those under 65 who need information on health coverage are welcome to join in. Questions will be answered after the Medicare session.
