Matlacha Hookers quarterly blood drive Saturday

Look for the Big Red Bus Those looking to make a donation on Sept. 6, and trade a “pint for a pint” during the upcoming blood drive, are urged to just look for the Big Red Bus. It will be parked at the Barnhill Market at 4573 Pine Island Road in Matlacha. PHOTO PROVIDED

The Matlacha Hookers are hooking up with Bert’s Bar, Pine Bay Gifts and Island Seafood to host their quarterly blood drive. Donors will receive a $20 eGift Card and beach towel from OneBlood; and as an additional thank you, Bert’s Bar will provide a $20 gift card.

Donors will also receive a wellness check that includes the COVID-19 antibody test, blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening.

Join us Saturday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Pine Bay Gifts in Matlacha, 4332 Pine Island Road. Look for the Big Red Bus.
