Kiwanis presents PIE Student of the Year awards
The Kiwanis of Pine Island continues to support Pine Island students. Each year, students in grades 3,4 and 5 are recognized as “Student of the Year.” These students are chosen by their teachers and have displayed integrity, kindness, character and have modeled a sense of community to their peers throughout the school year.
The recipients of this year’s Kiwanis Student of the Year Awards are: Michael King (3rd), Meena Cooper (4th), Aidyn Renz (5th) and Dominic Ajin (5th).
These students are recognized at the end-of-year awards celebration, which had to look a little different this year due to COVID restrictions.
This year has been an unusual one for students and the Kiwanians are proud of all of them for continuing to strive for excellence and live up to our Eagle Values of being kind and caring each and every day.
