VFW Post 4353 to hold Memorial Day Ceremony
On Monday, May 31, the Greater Pine Island VFW Post 4353 will be hosting a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Post Monument at 8150 Stringfellow Road. Everyone is invited to attend. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
This year will include guest speaker Maj. Bryan F. Williams, U.S. Army (ret). Mariner High School JROTC cadets will be presenting the colors and performing a flag folding ceremony. Patricia Stoudt will be singing the national anthem.
The focal point of the Memorial Day Ceremony will be the laying of wreaths. Anyone, club, business or individual, is invited to lay a wreath during this time. Those wishing to lay a wreath will need to provide their own wreath with a stand, they will be recognized and given the opportunity to lay their wreath.
