Proceeds from the Greater Pine Island Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing on April 17 at Alden Pines were given to the Beacon of Hope’s GED program on Monday, May 10.

“This year, as everybody knows the chamber is going through a major transition,” said Greater Pine Island Chamber President Larry Solinger. “We were able to put together a golf outing. The Beacon of Hope has been an anchor of the community forever and we’ve always tried to support them. This year we’re able to donate $1,000 to the Beacon of Hope through our golf outing. We’re just proud that we’re able to give back.”
