A group of performers from North Carolina will be bringing their talents to North Fort Myers right in time for Valentine’s Day.

“Guys and Doll” will take lovers of musicals down memory lane for songs people couldn’t quit humming to when it comes to the Players Circle Theatre on Feb. 12 to 14 and Feb. 19 to 21.

The trio, Maximillian Koger, Shane Dinan, and Natalie Brouwer, are all based in Asheville N.C. And all of them people Players Circle fans should be familiar with, having performed in the Neil Simon play “Laughter on the 23rd Floor.”

“It will be a delightful musical Broadway revue. It will be very theatrical, a lot of Broadway songs, three talented people. I think it will be a fantastic night,” said Robert Cacioppo, artistic director at the Players Circle.

Koger and Brouwer met at a performance at a professional theatre in the Ashville area. Dinan met the other two later at another show. Brouwer, who had performed in the Broadway Babes musical revue, asked her male friends to join in.

“I thought how fun it is for these guys to sing with me for a love song-themed musical revue. It’s pop songs through the ages,” Brouwer said. “I want to bring voices that are diverse and we will bring different styles of music.”

Among the songs people will hear are songs like Dionne Warwick’s “What the World Needs Now” and “L-O-V-E,” as well as Broadway songs from Cole Porter to Hamilton, such as “Our Love Is Here to Stay,” “All I Ask of You,” “Gimme, Gimme” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

There will also be some Queen and Elton John thrown in for good measure, which Brouwer said should bring down the house.

“There will be some well-known songs as well as some we will introduce to the audience,” Brouwer said. “With love songs, you have to bring in the classics. You have to bring in songs people are dying to hear.”

Friday shows, Feb. 12 and 19 are at 8 p.m.; Saturday shows, Feb. 13 and 20, are at 7 p.m.; and Sunday shows, Feb. 14 and 21, are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 general admission, and $35 VIP.

The Players Circle Theatre is located at the Shell Factory and Nature Park, 16554 N. Cleveland Ave. The theatre has been converted into a nightclub/cabaret style facility, which will have 74 limited, spaced seating, temperature checks, thorough sanitizing, and masks are worn by all audience members until seated.
