FDOT: Road paving in Matlacha to continue to Friday
FDOT has announced that motorists should anticipate traffic shifts on the Matlacha Causeway as crews complete the final configuration of paving. Paving operations on Pine Island Road are scheduled to continue through Friday, Dec. 6. Paving was scheduled to begin today, Dec. 4. Crews will be working during the daytime hours, as early as 7 a.m.
There will be NO lane closures. Crews will shift the traffic patterns, and two lanes of traffic will remain open for travel. Flaggers will be present.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area.
