Bokeelia, Florida – Jack Lamberg, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2023, at the age of 84. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever warm the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born to Floyd and Agnes Lamberg and raised in the city of Chicago with his “baby sister” Maryann (Kotarba). In 1965 Jack met and married the love of his life, Sally and their 58 year commitment was a testament of true love and devotion. A loving father to his three daughters, Marilyn, Patricia and Deanna, forever instilling in them the values of family, hard work, and perseverance.

Among Jack’s greatest joys was his role as a grandfather. He relished the days spent with his beloved grandchildren. Jack, Tyler, and James in Colorado held a special place in his heart, as did Mackenzie and Paul in Chicago. His wisdom, humor, and affection enriched their lives, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Jack was a man of several passions. His kitchen was often the site of communal gatherings, where he created many dishes for family and friends. His recipes will continue to be cherished and shared, a testament to his talents. With a deeply rooted connection to Charlotte Harbor, he found solace and adventure on his tugboat: Jack and The 4 Ladies. The tranquil waters provided a backdrop for countless moments spent with Sally and dear friends in Florida, who became an extended family. Jack also had an incredible knack for finding the best bargains and he loved sharing his thrifty discoveries. His penchant for a good deal was legendary and often a source of amusement and admiration.

Jack touched the lives of many with his warm heart and boundless generosity. His presence in our lives will be profoundly missed. May he rest in eternal peace, forever loved and cherished.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jack’s memory to The American Cancer Society. Details for a Celebration of Life event will be communicated by the family once they have been confirmed.
