The Christmas Spirit is alive and well in Matlacha! Lisa Jensen, Steve MeMaiolo, Patti Neal and Lindy Terry all volunteered to help Jim Cahill hang his Christmas lights this year.

Jim has been decorating his home with lights for Christmas since he moved to Matlacha in 1994. All neighbors enjoy the display and he won the Christmas light contest back in 2013.

He was hesitant to accept help, but his wife forbade him to climb the ladder this year so he had to give in! Marie served the Hot Cocoa and homemade chocolate chip cookies to Santa’s helpers when the job was finished!

They did an amazing job and Jim’s tradition goes on. Thanks again for helping!
