2017 14 Hands Stampede Red Blend

#43-2020

The 14 Hands Stampede is a pretty good choice for a value priced red blend which is easy to drink, and pairs well with a variety of foods. This blend is predominately Syrah and Merlot, and is robust and flavorful. It hails from the Columbia River Valley in the state of Washington.

The flavor spectrum consists of red cherries, dark berries, and a peppery, spicy background. It is full bodied with a lingering finish. The alcohol content is 13.5%, and Norm’s score is 88.

A bottle of the 2017 14 Hands Stampede was a good choice for our wine-marinated, grilled pork loin chops, and would also make an excellent spaghetti wine.

Score: 88

Price: $11 – $14
