Sheriff’s Office: Immediately report any sighting of missing girl
Nine-year-old Diana Alvares remains missing. Members of the public have asked the Lee County Sheriff’s Office how they can assist with the search for Diana. The Sheriff’s Office asks that we all please stay alert and continue to call in any possible sightings to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers right away without delay.
If anyone has any information about Diana’s current location, call the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 239-477-1000 or 911.
Meanwhile, search efforts have included more than 200 local, state, and federal law enforcement personnel, including foot patrols, ATV’s, Aviation, K-9s, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team. Search efforts will continue through the evening hours. The search has covered a 10-mile radius in 90-degree weather. A Code Red reverse 911 call has been sent out in a 2-mile radius around Diana’s San Carlos home, contacting surrounding communities asking for vigilance.
Diana, who was last seen at home asleep around 2 a.m. Sunday, is 4’4″ and 95 pounds. She is Hispanic with dark hair and brown eyes and she has two scars on one of her legs. She was last seen wearing an unknown color shirt, blue bottoms, unknown shoes, and may be carrying a green blanket with flower print.
