Taste of North Fort Myers
It’s a great opportunity for people to get a good taste of North Fort Myers – literally.
The Shell Factory & Nature Park once again will be the venue for the Taste of North Fort Myers to be held on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event, now in its third year and hosted by the North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, will feature great food from more than 10 local eateries, business vendors and live entertainment.
Rick Tupper, marketing director and CFO of the Shell Factory, expects this to be the best Taste event yet.
“We’re going to have live entertainment and a band for the first time. We have more restaurants signed up this year than I’ve ever seen as well as business vendors,” Tupper said, adding his team will offer up some pulled pork.
The Country Express Band and the Calendar Girls will take the stage, and there will be a raffle for a new bike, as well as 50/50 raffles throughout the day to support the Chamber Foundation and Scholarships.
But the big stars will be the food, and the opportunity to sample dishes from some of the best restaurants in North Fort Myers, and even visit with some area business vendors.
The roster of restaurants includes Anthony’s Kettle Corn, Applebee’s, Capt’n Fishbones, Dugout Sports Bar & Grill, Edible Arrangements, Everglades BBQ, Gulf Coast Fudge Company, Heron’s Glen, Nauti Parrot, Snow Dreams, and Taquizza’s.
“Everyone will be cooking up their signature dishes, and to get a good flavor for what the businesses are in North Fort Myers. It’s a good time to do it because we are promoting a renaissance,” Tupper said. “Local people and those outside the community can see these places.”
The Shell Factory retail store, nature park, fun park and outdoor bars will all be open, with a family fun package at the fun park being offered once again. There will also be a free petting zoo and games and activities for the kids,
You can even bring your four-legged friend and visit the Dogbones Cafe.
Admission is $3 per person, with children 10 and younger admitted free.
