Cambio Dermatology receives GPICA approval for work on building
The GPICA general meeting March 1 began a half hour later than usual due to the Hurricane Prepared-ness meeting at the Methodist Church held earlier.
“The Hurricane Preparedness meeting is an important meeting,” GPICA President Roger Wood said. “Even if you’ve been to it before, it’s always good to update yourself.”
Nathan Wunder, P.E., representing Cambio Dermatology, made a presentation requesting approval of new construction on the building located at 5041 Pine Island Road, N.W.
The new construction requires a “Limited Development Order” from Lee County. The new construction includes demolition of the drive-throughs located on the east end of the building and the addition of offices within the original footprint.
The proposal was approved unanimously by 33 attendees.
Phil Buchanan updated the group on the status of the Pine Island Plan revisions and the Ceitus Boatlift lawsuit. There is little change in either.
All meetings are open to the public at no charge. The GPICA meets at the Elks on Pine Island Road, west of Stringfellow, on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. Join or renew membership for $10 per person annual fee.
