Helping more than veterans

To the editor:

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 136 Blood Drive had a very nice turn out that produced 28 blood donations. That means that up to 84 individuals can benefit from the lifesaving efforts from those donors.

Thank you to all participants for supporting our effort to save lives in our community.

We extend a special thanks to The American Legion Post 136 for treating all donors to lunch or their favorite beverage that day, and to OneBlood for giving all donors a movie pass.

Keep your eyes on the Eagle for the date of our blood drive this summer.
