Friday and Saturday nights the new Pine Island Chamber of Commerce building was “converted” into a Tombs, Mummies and Haunted House for the children of Pine Island.

“We spent several weeks putting this all together,” event coordinator Jennifer Jennings said. “And the final touch is ‘The Grim Reaper Horseman.'”

Ian Eubanks was the Grim Reaper Horseman.

“We are here for the haunted house for charity,” Eubanks said. “Pumpkin King Productions has been doing haunted walks on five acres in Naples for several years now and we were asked if we could help out here on Pine Island so here we are.”

“Last night (Friday) we had about 40 children and we’ll probably have about 40 tonight,” Jennings said. “Next year I think we will need a larger venue for this.”

CW Fudge provided ‘”scary” popcorn and Pine Island Pizza provided pizza. The chamber provided cotton candy, apple cider and pumpkin decorating.
