Pine Island Community Boat Parade Dec. 12
The?Pine Island Community Boat Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, at 6 p.m., in St.?James City.
There are many ways to enjoy the boat parade, including viewing from various restaurants, homes and other vantage points along the parade route. The best seat is aboard a boat that is participating in the parade – not only do you see the other boats, you also get to see the nicely decorated homes as you motor by.
The parade route will remain the same as in previous years and will include Monroe, Cherry Estates and Henley waterways.
Organizers will be collecting canned goods for the Harry Chapin Food Bank and the theme for this year will be in support of local law enforcement.
The parade is open to anyone in the community with a boat they would like to enter. The Captain’s Meeting will be Friday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m., at a spot to be determined
