* Cape Coral Civic

The Cape Coral Civic Association will host a candidate forum on July 28 for the Cape Coral City Council candidates from districts 2,3 and 7.

The forum will be held in the Yacht Club Ballroom, at 5819 Driftwood Parkway. Doors will open to the public at 6 p.m. and forum begins at 7 p.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

* Chamber of Cape Coral Nob Nob

Join the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral for the 2015 Candidates Hobnob and meet your Cape Coral City Council Candidates.

The event will take place form 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Aug. 5, at Gulf Coast Village.

Straw Poll conducted by the Lee County Supervisor of Elections office, appetizers and refreshments, free and open to the public.

* CCCIA forum

There will be a forum for candidates from all three districts on Thursday, Aug. 13, hosted by the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association at Palmetto Pine Country Club at 1940 S.W. 9th Court.

The program is part of the CCCIA’s August General Membership Dinner Meeting but is open to the public. Mix and mingle hour will start at 5:30 p.m. and the program will start immediately following.

Reservations are required and must be made by Tuesday, Aug. 11. The dinner is expected to sell out.

* City of Cape Coral

The City of Cape Coral will be hosting one candidate debate for the upcoming primary election, Thursday, Sept. 3, beginning at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall. The debate will last 90 minutes.

Candidates in District 2, District 3 and District 7 are invited to participate.

The debates will be moderated by Jeff Koehn (CapeCoral.com). Questions will be posed by Valarie Harring (Breeze) and Tom Hayden (News-Press).

The debate will be broadcast live on CapeTV, the City’s government channel (Channel 98), and via live videostream on the City’s website and DaCast outlet (www.cape-tv.com). The debates will be taped for replay on CapeTV during the two weeks leading up to the election. These videos also will be posted for viewing on the website.
