Neighborhood Watch meeting Jan. 16

2 min read

To the editor:

I am very sorry that I neglected to mention the “usual address.” The address where we hold our meetings is 5492 Thomas St. (behind Red’s).

Our meetings begin around 6 p.m. How long they last depends on how many concerns need to be addressed. A safe time I would say is two hours, as we do a lot of chit-chatting also.

If there is anyone who is interested in joining us at a meeting, feel free, even if you do not live in this area (Avenue B through Birdsong Lane and Samoya). The meetings are informative, and if you live in Matlacha or St. James City, you may want to start one of your own and may certainly attend this meeting to become better acquainted with how a Neighborhood Watch works.

If you would like to attend, feel free to call me, at 239-220-8083 (a head count is always a good thing to know ahead of time). If you live within our N.W. area, I will be more than happy to deliver a small pack of information to you and a form to fill out. You can bring it with you to the meeting.

We ask if you have any concerns at all that you would like a deputy to address, please write it out, sign your name (or not) and please have it to me well in advance so I may forward them to the appropriate people. This makes the meetings more informative and move more quickly.

Thank you,

Lori DePalma
