2 min read

“Family Night” at the 5th annual Holiday House celebration at Tarpon Lodge will kick off with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in true island fashion – by boat – Thursday, Dec. 4, shortly before 5 p.m.

Santa and Mrs. Clause will be on the premises, in the gazebo, to have photos taken with the children of Pine Island from 5-7 p.m.

The annual Holiday House celebration will take place Thursday, Dec. 4; Friday, Dec. 5; and Saturday, Dec. 5, from 5:30-9 each night.

“We would like to extend an invitation to you and yours to stroll along the beautifully decorated grounds of Tarpon Lodge,” Beacon of H.O.P.E. Director Betsy Haesemeyer said. “The grounds, as well as the lodge, will have a wide array of Pine Island’s finest artisans and vendors. There will be authors, artists and of course music.”

Matlacha’s CW Fudge will create a “Chocolate Candyland” where everything is edible. There will be local charter guides with special packages available. Artist Mel Meo will be there, Sanibel Soul Jewelry, Pine Island Tropicals and so much more.

Authors Tonya Player will be there Thursday, Robert Macomber Friday and John Mills on Saturday. There will be a family friendly menu as well as crafts, face painting and a very special evening of storytelling with Player on Thursday.

“Tarpon Lodge will be decorated beautifully as always,” Haesemeyer said. “And the night will be filled with the joyful sounds of the Pine Island Eagle Choir as well as the United Methodist Church Chancel Chimes.”
