Another resounding success, the members of the Matlacha Hookers are pleased to announce the winners of this year’s 12th Annual PIE Fishing Tournament. Taking the prize of $2,000 for the biggest slam was Team Raymond. The team weighed in a combination of one redfish at 8.2 pounds and a snapper weighing 1.2 pounds for the winning total of 12.7 pounds. Team Raymond members included Capt. Craig Whitaker of Backwater Fishing Charters, Kerry Trotter and Matt Schell.
Taking the category for heaviest trout was Chad Kunkel from Windermere of Team Kunkel with a 4.1 pound trout earning him a $500 cash prize.
