1 min read

The Cape Coral Police Department has terminated the employment of Cape Coral Police Officer Michael Moore. Moore was served with the notice of his termination this afternoon. The decision was made following the completion of an internal investigation into a complaint against Moore involving his actions in response to a call for service on June 2.
Moore had been placed on paid administrative leave pending final disposition of the matter. He has 10 days to notify the city of any intent to appeal the decision as is provided by City ordinance or the police union contract. He has been a city police officer for five years, and his annual salary is $48,401.
