Breeze readers invited to take part in ‘Cruze Giveaway’ contest
General Motors is on the brink of releasing for sale its new, sporty, small car, the Chevy Cruze, and the very first one made for retail sale could end up On Pine Island.
Breeze Newspapers has teamed up with its sister paper, the Tribune Chronicle in Warren, Ohio, and Victory Layne Chevrolet to offer our readers a chance to win this historic car.
In today’s newspaper Victory Layne Chevrolet has published an entry blank within its advertisement that can be filled out and deposited at the dealership for a chance to win the new Cruze. Entries must be on official entry forms published in the newspaper, but no purchase is necessary. If you want a free entry form, stop by the newspaper office at 10700 Stringfellow Rd. in Bokellia during business hours and request a Cruze give-away entry form.
The entries must be deposited at Victory Layne between now and Oct. 11.
The drawing to determine the winner will be on Oct. 15.
At that time, only the winning community will be announced. Currently, 19 newspaper markets are participating in the chance to win the car. The newspaper in the winning community will then notify the lucky winner.
The following small to medium markets across the country will participate in the give-away: Warren, Lisbon, Tiffin, Salem, East Liverpool, Marietta, Martins Ferry and Steubenville in Ohio; Marquette, Alpena and Iron Mountain in Michigan; Dunkirk, New York; Altoona, Warren and Lewistown in Pennsylvania; Marshalltown, Fort Dodge in Iowa; Cape Coral and Pine Island in Florida; Parkersburg, Martinsburg, Weirton and Wheeling in West Virginia.
Breeze Newspapers has sister newspapers in all of those markets.
“We are fortunate to be able to offer our readers a chance to win this beautiful automobile,” said Breeze Newspapers Publisher Jack Glarrow. “We appreciate that Victory Layne Chevrolet is willing to help with this exciting giveaway. It would be great to be able to surprise someone right here on Pine Island with a brand new Cruze.”
Victory Layne Chevrolet is at 3980 Fowler St., Fort Myers. The entry form is on page 11 of today’s Pine Island Eagle. Official rules for the contest can be found on the Internet at
