Gubernatorial hopeful Rick Scott will be in North Fort Myers
Republican gubernatorial hopeful Rick Scott will be in the Dolphin Club at The Shell Factory and Nature Park on Aug. 12 at 5:30 p.m. for a public meet and greet.
Scott is running in the Republican primary.
Tom Cronin Sr. and Dr. Jerry Laboda remember Scott from their early days of development. Founders of Fort Myers Community Hospital (later known as SW Regional Hospital) the pair decided to invite the candidate to the landmark attraction on a pre-primary campaign swing.
“I was really pleased when Rick threw his hat in the ring,” said Tom Cronin in a prepared statement. “He has always been a very goal-oriented businessman. I think people are beginning to understand that he was never guilty nor charged with any wrongdoing and are now listening to his message. I have never seen a politician outline in writing their solutions for the problems of the state.”
Recently Scott announced he would not take a paycheck if elected as Florida’s next Governor.
The doors of the Dolphin Club will open at 5 p.m.
