Residents of Matlacha will be able to collect their post office box mail at a temporary post office location across the street from the community post office effective tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 3. The temporary location will serve as the post office for the community until all repairs have been made to the building that was damaged by fire on July 17.
Hours of operation at the temporary location, 4548 Pine Island Road, which is directly across the street from the Matlacha Post Office, will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Full retail service to include stamp sales and package shipping is expected to be added within a few days.
