Beginning Monday, Aug. 2 through Thursday, Aug. 5, motorists should expect traffic delays as intermittent lane closures are scheduled at the intersection of Santa Barbara Boulevard and State Road 78 / Pine Island Road. At times, the eastbound and westbound turn lanes on State Road 78 / Pine Island Road onto Santa Barbara Boulevard will be reduced and shifted over onto other travel lanes, as crews’ complete median work between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Advance warning signs, electronic message boards, and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. While traveling through the work zone, motorists are urged to use caution, obey the posted speed limit and seek alternate routes whenever possible. Please be advised that unforeseen circumstances such as weather may affect the project schedule.
