Still waiting for the president to do something right

By Staff | Jul 20, 2010

To the editor:

When are we going to get rid of the professional vacationer in the white house. Bush was bad, but this guy is worse. At a rating of 1 to 10, he would be a minus 2.

I’m still waiting for him to do something right. Of course, if he’s always traveling, he can’t get too much done. Lately we’re seeing just how corrupt our government is. They don’t punish them very much because they figure they might be the next one caught.

Next, let’s break ties with China. All they do is get rich on sending their inferior products with hazardous waste in them to us. Lord only knows what other toxic materials they’re sending besides the drywall and all the products with lead in it. Again I say stop imports from China which will solve the unemployment problem. Sure it might start with a war, but at least we’ll know what we’re fighting for. One problem there is they’re probably making our weapons and electronics.

Needless to say, we have to get rid of all the politicians in office starting with the Supreme Court who seem to be court jesters now.

Concentrate on write-in candidates that are known to be able and honest and not politicians.

As we know by now, if they’re on the slate, they’re dishonest, put on the ballot by the same corrupt parties.

Let’s talk about stress.

Do you know the leading cause of stress? It’s trying to get the stress pills out of the package they come in. Not only pills, but food and everyday products. Sometimes I wish I had a chain saw to open some of the products.

Then I picture an old woman starving to death trying to get a saltine out of its package.

How about cell phones? Legalized crime is what they are. They get you coming and going. Why should I have to pay for someone calling me? Especially telemarketers. At $.25 a minute, that’s criminal.

Child abuse: Parents should be allowed to spank, slap and whatever else it takes within reason to discipline their children. If they had the old rules in effect a lot of the recent extreme cases probably wouldn’t have happened. The kids know you can’t hit them and they’re cashing in on it. Child abuse is letting your teenager sail around the world by themselves or letting them climb Mt. Everest, or locking them a in room for days on end without food or facilities.

Immigration: First of all, make English the official language of the U.S. Eliminate all other languages from products. First of all, it’s discrimination, second it’s irritating. Third, check their IDs. If there is nothing wrong, they have nothing to fear and I’m not pushing #1 for English.

Justice: I don’t think the death penalty means dying of old age in jail. A quick and speedy trial, the zap and it’s over. Quit wasting the taxpayers’ money on them. Death penalty should apply to murderers, drug dealers, terrorists, true child abusers, kidnappers and traitors. Allowing prisoners to file lawsuits is ridiculous. They have no rights and anyone who says the death sentence is not a deterrent is an idiot. If the person is dead, he can’t kill again. That’s a deterrent. So many guards and prisoners have been killed by someone sentenced to death.

School buses: Get rid of choice of school. If a parent picks a school 40 miles away, the kid is going to have a long ride, Duh.

We’ve seen benefits and concerts for Haiti and most countries overseas. How about concerts for our servicemen who allow you to perform? Thanks to them for protecting our interests. You stars should be having one every month for what they’re doing for you. And, how about Nashville and Pensacola. Take care of your own first. They’ll need housing, medical help, education and jobs. The latter they won’t have if everything is made in China. So put a preposterous import tax on all imports so they’ll have to manufacture here. I’d tell you buy American, but I know it’s almost impossible to find something made in the U.S.A.

Thanks to greedy big business and politicians, in parting, save our planet, impeach Obama. This has been a lesson in common sense 101. Something that lacks completely in Washington.
