Report: $25,000 in items taken from home

More than $25,000 in coins and jewelry were report stolen from a southeast Cape Coral home.
The victim’s daughter told police that gold and silver coins, currency, jewelry and a laptop computer were removed from the victim’s home, located in the 2000 block of Southeast 18th Avenue. The missing items were stored in the victim’s bedroom and her safe, according to a police report.
The items are eight gold coins, silver coins, about $5,000 in cash, a 1-karat diamond engagement ring, a men’s class ring, a red ruby pinky ring, a night head ring, a lady wood class ring and a Lee County School District Dell laptop. The items are valued at $25,164 in total, the report states.
The victim wished to press charges.
