Impaired drivers are a very real danger to themselves and, of course, any motorist who is sharing the road at the same time. With this in mind, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office launched a multi-faceted campaign of education, awareness and enforcement to battle this threat to our community. We have elected to publicize the names of those charged by deputies with the offense of DUI during the past week:

On June 21, 2010, at approximately 02:06 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Amanda Sue Cox, D.O.B. 01/01/86 of 4121 Residence Avenue, Fort Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of 950 Estero Boulevard, Fort Myers Beach, Florida.

On June 21, 2010, at approximately 05:11 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jeffrey Eugene Murphy, D.O.B. 09/26/58 of 27640 Imperial Shores Boulevard, Bonita Springs, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of 24830 S. Tamiami Trail, Bonita Springs, Florida.

On June 22, 2010, at approximately 01:02 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Joseph Kitley Kahil, D.O.B. 03/16/76 of 608 Glenn Avenue, Lehigh Acres, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Leeland Heights Boulevard & Illinois Avenue, Lehigh Acres, Florida.
