Summer hours commence at Sun Splash Family Waterpark
Now that school is out and the weather is heating up, kids need to not only find something fun to do but stay cool in the process.
Sun Splash Family Waterpark is helping to fill that need, offering their summer operating hours effective immediately.
They will be open seven days a week, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., through Aug. 22.
Park Manager Sandra Greiner said the park kept its admission rates the same as last year, and did very well with season passes sold in advance.
“We sold over 3,600 season passes with the early bird special. It was amazing,” Greiner said.
The largest waterpark in Southwest Florida, Sun Splash is home to more than 14 acres of pools, slides, tubes and rides to please the entire family.
Greiner said people from all around Southwest Florida come to see what Sun Splash has to offer.
She said people from as far away as Sarasota come to Cape Coral to experience Sun Splash.
She said, too, that Sun Splash truly is a place that has something for all ages.
“We have ages all the way from youngsters to seniors,” she said. “Seniors go on the mainstream river and just float along. They bring their grandkids and just enjoy the day.”
The park is still enjoying the success of its three newest slides, which opened just last year.
With temperatures already hitting the upper 90s, Greiner expects to have a successful, and fun, season this year at Sun Splash.
“With heat indexes reaching 100 regularly this time of the year, Sun Splash is the perfect place to cool down and beat the heat every day of the week,” she said.
Sun Splash also offers Family Fun Nights the second Saturday of each month.
