Once again the American Legion is proud to be the sponsor of the Independence Day Parade. As you noticed, I didn’t say “Fourth of July Parade.” This year the 4th falls on a Sunday, and out of respect for our residents and our churches, the parade to honor the birth of our nation will be held on Saturday July 3, at 10 a.m. Please plan to join us for this celebration on Saturday.

The parade route is as usual, from the Winn-Dixie parking lot up Stringfellow to Pine Island Road and then left ending at the Elks Club.

I am looking forward to seeing you all there.
