Pills, jewelry stolen in home burglary
Prescriptions pills and several pieces of jewelry valued at more than $15,000 were recently stolen from a Cape Coral home, according to a police report.
The victim reported that between 10 p.m., Tuesday, and 7 a.m., Wednesday, someone broke into his residence, located in the 2300 block of Southwest Seventh Place, and stole six pieces of jewelry, a bottle of Xanax and pills.
Among the stolen items were a 2 1/2-karat white gold engagement ring, an 18-karat white gold cross with a chain, a 14-karat diamond and gold bracelet, two silver men’s bracelets and a broken 14-karat gold ring with an “N” on it.
A black velvet bag containing various silver jewelry was also reported stolen, the report states.
The bottle contained 60 Xanax pills, the victim told police.
A bedroom window was broken to gain entry, according to the report.
Police found a hypodermic needle in a black case while conducting a canvas, the report states. The victim identified it as his late father’s diabetes kit.
