By Staff | Jun 3, 2010

A Fort Myers woman remains hospitalized today after being dropped off at the emergency entrance of the Cape Coral Hospital in an unresponsive state.
The 24-year-old woman, whose identity is being withheld, was listed in good condition, according to a spokeswoman for the Lee Memorial Health System.
At 11:30 a.m. Friday, the woman was dropped off at the triage entrance to the hospital by two men in a pickup truck. According to a Cape police report, one man entered the hospital and alerted staffers. The woman was removed from the vehicle, and it was determined that she was not only unresponsive, but that she was not breathing on her own.
One man told the staff that the woman was last seen talking and interacting between 4 and 5:30 a.m. Friday, the report states. He also said they had met the woman at a bar in Cape Coral, and that they did not have any information on her except a possible first name. The man gave staffers his information.
According to the report, the two men then left the hospital.
The hospital reported the incident to the Cape Coral Police Department as a suspicious incident. The incident was investigated and file has since been closed, officials said.
