For all kids who want to take an imaginary trip in June this summer, sign up now for Vacation Bible School (VBS) at The First Baptist church of Pine Island. Monday through Friday, June 21-25, children ages kindergarten through 6th grade can participate at no cost. Each evening the trip begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.
The traveling theme, Club VBS–Route 254, will help teach kids to stay on the path to a better, more fulfilling life by focusing on the good life of Jesus.
Each evening a worship rally gathers everyone for song and fun and features a puppet show. Kids look for your favorite puppet each night. All week long, the journey at VBS includes cool crafts, recreation games, exciting Bible stories and yummy snacks. Drivers and tour guides (teachers) are trained and ready to create a fun-filled week.
“This is one of the highlights for our children each year. This one week is filled with life-long lessons, packed with high-energy fun,” said Tammy Miller, VBS Director for 2010.
Capacity for the school is limited, about 20-25 per classroom, so be sure to sign up right away. Classes will be divided into four age groups: Kindergarten–ages 4 and 5, 1st and 2nd grade class, 3rd and 4th grade class, 5th and 6th grade class.
VBS at The First Baptist Church is free to attend, however, parents and guardians must register each child. A registration form is available at the church or by calling Tammy Miller at the church office at 283-1737 or by email at fbcopi@gmail.com. The registration form is also available online at the church website: www.fbcopic.com.

To drop off the form, you can visit during services every Wednesday night (Prayer Service) at 7 p.m., or on Sunday. Sunday School starts at 9:30 a.m. and Worship Service at 10:45 a.m.
