Philip E. Kertz

Philip E. Kertz, 85, of Bokeelia, passed away Friday, April 20, 2010. He was born in Joliet, Illinois, the son of the late Philip J. and Lucille Kertz. He retired as director of human resources for Texico, Inc. after 39 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Kertz was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen J. Kertz. Survivors include two daughters; Lisa Nilsen of Bokeelia and Karin Steers of Estes Park, Colorado; a sister, Joan Bragg of Edgemont, Arkansas; three granddaughters; Katherine Barnes, Susan and Stacey Steers; a grandson Graham Steers and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held on May 6, at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church.

The family appreciates contributions to Disable American Veterans in his memory.
