Adam David McClenithan

Adam David McClenithan, 21, of Bokeelia, died suddenly on April 28, 2010 at Lee Memorial Hospital after being attacked by another person; Adam has joined many of his friends “The Pine Island Angels”. He was born on Dec. 23, 1988 in Fort Myers, FL, a child of Bobby Eugene and Lisa Lynn (Covert) McClenithan.

He was educated in the Lee County Public Schools and was a handyman doing lawn and tree work in the area. The sun was not Adam’s best friend, he had many close friends that will miss him very much including Baby Kitty his cat. Adam was most excited by the upcoming birth of his second child and was very protective over those he cared about, anyone needed help Adam loved to give a hand. There will always be a hole in our hearts that won’t be filled until we are together again.

Adam is survived by his mother, Lisa McClenithan, his daughter, Tearzlee Rose Mash of St. James City, his brother, Ryan Harmon McClenithan of Bokeelia and his sister, Bobbie Jean McClenithan, of Cape Coral, his fiance, Amber Lynn Watson of Bokeelia, his grandparents, Mary “Grannie” McClenithan of St. James City, Robert “Geeze” Covert of Bokeelia and Fay Ann Booth of St. James City, his Uncle Darrin (Jami) Covert, Aunt Mitzi Ward, Aunt Tracy Darna Dandron and whom Adam called his second father, Uncle Joe Dandron, Uncle Joey Gault, cousin’s (brother) Brandon “Meaty” (Jessica) Darna, Joe Joe Dandron, Devin Dobbins, Tori Covert, Jacob Ward, Daniel Lowe all of Pine Island and many great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pa Pa Blair Daley, step grandmother Harriett Gualt, niece, Sierra “Piggy” Conchinha named by Uncle Adam and new cousin Brianna Darna whom he was very protective of. Uncle Dobie nicknamed him “Red Lobster” and the name stuck.

Adam was predeceased by his father, Bobby, Uncle David, grandfather Harmon McClenithan and cousin, Josh Darna and his dog Scoot.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Pine Island United Methodist Church 5701 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to a fund established in Adam’s memory at the Southwest Capital Bank, 5551 Sunset Lane, St. James City, FL 33956. Friends may sign the guest book for the family at www.horizonfunerals.com.
