Bruce R Hinkle

Bruce R Hinkle of North Fort Myers passed away April 7, 2010, he was 82. Bruce was born April 5, 1928 to Clarence and Sadie (Mallery) Hinkle in Alma, MI. He enlisted in the Army during WWII and was stationed in Italy where he made life-long friends and visited them many times since. He moved to Evart, Michigan in 1963 and started an insurance agency that is now known as Hinkle-Witbeck Agency, Inc., he retired in 1977.

He and Joan were married June 5, 1964. They moved to the Pine Island community of Cherry Estates in St James City, Florida in 1978, traveled extensively, fished and enjoyed life. They lived many places on Pine Island in the years that followed, after which they moved to Cape Coral, then Tara Woods in North Fort Myers that being their final destination.

Joan predeceased Bruce on Oct. 12, 2009 at the age of 72. Bruce is survived by his children, Steven B. (Martha Larson) Hinkle, James R. (Shelley) Hinkle and Denise K. (Don Taylor) Hinkle, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grand-children.

A memorial service remembering both Bruce and Joan will be held on July 1, 2010 at the Brooks Corners United Methodist Church, 5951 30th Ave., Sears, MI, at the corner of US-10 and M-66.
