To the editor:

Thanks once again to the Greater Pine Island Community for supporting the GPI Lions Club in their charity events. On Wednesday, April 21, we entertained the Little League baseball team that we support, Thunder, the opposing team, the coaches, parents, siblings and other children attending the game with pizza and soft drinks.

THis is an annual event that the Lions have been hosting for many years and hope to be able to continue for years to come, because of the support from our community. Thanks to the Pine Island Little League for allowing us to hold this event and Dominoes for helping us with this effort.

If you haven’t been out to see one of these games, you really need to spend some time supporting our youth! They are our next generation.
