George Stanley Dryden
George Stanley Dryden, 92, of St. James City, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. He was predeceased by his wife, Eugenia and son, Thomas. He is survived by his son, Rick.
Born on Jan. 3, 1918, in Dunkrik, Indiana, he spent three years in the United States Coast Guard during World War II and settled in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he worked as a terminal manager for A&H Trucking before retiring to St. James City in 1984. He was a proud member of the American Legion for 64 years.
A memorial service will be held at the American Legion on Stringfellow Road in St. James City of Saturday, May 1, at 11 a.m.
