Bruce R Hinkle
Bruce R Hinkle of North Fort Myers, passed away April 7, 2010, he was 82. Bruce was born April 5, 1928, to Clarence and Sadie (Mallery) Hinkle in Alma, Mich. He enlisted in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Italy where he made life long friends and visited them many times since. He moved to Evart, Mich., in 1963 and started an insurance agency that is now known as Hinkle-Witbeck Agency Inc., he retired in 1977. He and Joan were married June 6, 1964. They moved to the Pine Island community of Cherry Estates in St James City in 1978, traveled extensively, fished and enjoyed life. They lived many places on Pine Island in the years that followed, after which they moved to Cape Coral, then Tara Woods in North Fort Myers that being their final destination.
Joan predeceased Bruce on Oct. 12, 2009, at the age of 72.
He is survived by his children, Steven B. (Martha Larson) Hinkle, James R. (Shelley) Hinkle and Denise K. (Don Taylor) Hinkle, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grand-children.
A memorial service remembering both Bruce and Joan will be held on July 1, 2010 at the Brooks Corners United Methodist Church, 5951 30th Ave., Sears, Mich., at the corner of US-10 and M-66.
