To the editor:

We would like to address the current rumors circulating around Pine Island that the Winn-Dixie is closing. We are NOT closing. Winn-Dixie is very healthy, we had a very good season and our lease is not up until 2025, so we are not going anywhere.

We would like to take this moment to thank all of our loyal customers who have been calling and e-mailing because they are worried about us closing. We are thankful to operate a store with such a great, caring community of people here on Pine Island.
