Beginning Tuesday, April 20, and continuing through Friday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., motorist should be on alert for intermittent lane closures on Santa Barbara Boulevard. At times, these closures will reduce travel lanes on Santa Barbara between State Road 78 / Pine Island Road and Southeast 2nd Street as construction crews perform paving operations this section of roadway.
Advance warning signs, electronic message boards and barricades will be used to advise motorists traveling through the area. Construction on this section of roadway is scheduled for approximately the next several weeks Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
While traveling through the work zone, motorists are urged to use caution, obey the posted speed limit of 35 mph and seek alternate routes whenever possible.
