To the editor:

Pine Island Cove recently held its fourth annual Fun Fest. As in the past, the event was a great success. Because of that success, we are again able to contribute this year a portion of the proceeds to the Pine Island Elementary School’s Needy Children Fund. The remaining portion of those proceeds will assist in the upkeep of the Pine Island Cove club house.

We want to acknowledge and thank the many local merchants who donated to the event. We are in the midst of difficult financial times and are aware of the value of the dollar. We are asking the PIne Island Cove residents to support those local merchants who did support our Fun Fest.
