To the editor:

Vietnam Veterans in the 60s and 70s were referred to as “baby killers.” I remember personally being spit on by a toll taker on the Mass. Turnpike while traveling in uniform. Times have certainly changed.

The American people now realize that veterans are not the problem. Veterans of this great country of ours have proven over and over again that they are the bravest, most caring and honorable people that this nation has ever had the privilege of presenting to the world!

I just learned that Lowe’s, Home Depot and recently found out that Priced Right Liquor will give any veteran with an American Legion or VFW card to prove they are a veteran a 10 percent discount! Times they are a changin’!
